Beginners Induction
Beginners Induction
WHAT DOES THE BEGINNERS INDUCTION LOOK LIKE?
Club Judoka want to ensure that you only have a positive experience with us. As part of our responsibility over our members and beginners, we need to make sure that you are safe to practice. The JFA U.K has designed an excellent three level Beginners Induction programme that teaches basic judo etiquettes and techniques that make sure you are safe and able to participate fully in our weekly training sessions.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I PASS?
Once you’ve completed your three beginners induction sessions you will be required to gain a judo licence, this is a legal requirement. Your judo licence is available at our club under our national governing body, JFA UK.
The licence allows all students to participate in further gradings, courses and competitions.
The licence costs £35 per year.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Please come in a comfortable long sleeve top and long bottoms, no zips on your clothing as these may damage our brand new mats! (tatami).
Wear clothes that you do not mind getting stretched or damaged as there is a small possibility that this could happen during the session.
Remove any piercings / jewellery, wear minimal makeup and we encourage all women to wear sports bras.
